1. Using Stoep
You must provide accurate account information, protect your login details and use Stoep lawfully. Community access may require address or neighbourhood verification. You may not impersonate another person, evade a suspension or use Stoep to harm, threaten, deceive or exploit others.
2. Community content
You remain responsible for content you post. You give Stoep permission to host, display and process that content only as needed to operate and improve the service. Do not post unlawful material, private information without permission, spam, scams or content that violates another person's rights.
3. Safety and moderation
Stoep may limit visibility, remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts to protect people and the service. Reports are assessed using the community guidelines and available context. Urgent danger must be reported to the appropriate emergency service.
4. Businesses, listings and transactions
Businesses and members are responsible for their own listings, claims, prices and transactions. Stoep may verify business information, but does not guarantee the quality, legality or outcome of an independent transaction.
5. Availability and changes
Features may differ by community, role and device. Stoep may perform maintenance or update the service when required for security, reliability or legal compliance. Important changes will be communicated through the service where practical.
6. Ending an account
You may download your Stoep data or request account deletion from your profile after confirming your current password. Requesting deletion signs you out on all devices and starts a configurable grace period during which you may cancel. Business or organisation ownership must be resolved first. Some records may be retained where required for security, legal obligations, dispute handling or audit history. Stoep may suspend or close accounts that materially breach these terms.
7. Contact and legal review
These terms are a working draft pending South African legal review before public launch. They describe how Stoep is intended to operate today and may be updated when counsel completes that review. Material changes will be communicated through the service where practical.
